Here are a few things that you may want to consider.

Who you may believe to be the best artist for your tattoo will depend on what kind of style you are looking for. Research different styles of tattooing before looking for an artist. After you find a style that you like, it will be easier to find the right artist, as there are artists out there that specialize in that particular style. Professional tattooing requires medical, technical and artistic education. Your tattoo will last for the rest of your life, It's very important to take these steps before you make a permanent decision.

There is a big difference from a tattooer and a tattoo artist. Finding a good tattoo artist is not that easy, sometimes you will have to travel in order to get what you want or to get better results then what a local artist can provide. Look for an attractive portfolio. Find someone that will enjoy working with your idea and are capable to improve it. It's better to compare portfolios then prices. Do not rush into a decision and don't apply pressure on your artist. Finding the right artist may take time. Having a consultation will help you decide if you will work well together. Some artists are busy and it could take time to get a hold of them, don't give up if you think they are worth the wait.

THINK BIG!!
More people regret small tattoos then bigger ones, it feels like having a big living room with a very small couch. It is true that you can always add stuff around your small tattoo, but that will never look as good as a well planned piece. Big tattoos age better, can have more detail, are more legible and people won't have to get too close to you to realize what it is.

Biomechanical style of tattooing its what I specialize in.
I have been studying this style of art for several years and I am very passionated about it. I like to tattoo images that incorporate depth, flow, textures and other interesting dynamics that fit and flow nicely on the natural shapes of the body. I approach tattooing in a very similar way as painting: minimal outline work, multiple sessions, and taking the necessary time to get the best result. This style requires patience and dedication from both the collector and the artist

Creating and starting your tattoo.

I like to freehand tattoos so I can make the design fit right on that specific part of your body. I really like to utilize interesting shapes and curves of the body to enhance the design, such as outer muscles, bones, veins, scars, moles, etc. Sometimes I digitally manipulate a photograph of the area of your body that you want me to work with to show you different options, multiple  color combinations and together we can select what we think its the best option. After laying out the design on the skin we proceed to refine the piece until the work is completed.
